Although mushroom hunting requires little in the way of equipment, a decent knife and lightweight field guide are essential. These are difficult to get hold of in this country, so we have specially imported top quality knives from Germany – the perfect gift for any fungi fanatic. There is also a wide variety of mushroom guides on the market, but very few are genuinely pocket-sized. To fill the gap we have produced our own set of collecting cards – just pop two or three in your pocket before a country walk and keep your eyes peeled!
Occasionally we have wild mushrooms for sale by mail order. Species and prices vary according to the season and availability. The latest newsletter normally gives an idea of what might be available – phone 01597 811168 for further details.
