Forage & Feast
WE HAVE THREE TYPES OF FORAY
Standard: Groups of up to 15, guided by Daniel Butler
Polish-twist: These forays cash in on Central Europe’s millenia of mushroom knowledge. Groups of up to 30, guided by Daniel Butler and Natalia Joanna, take guests on a variety of routes, before returning to a larger buffet lunch based around a Polish-based fungal menu. Two guides provide a greater range of expertise and flexibility.
Customised: Forays only (usually two - three hours) designed for families or groups. Numbers, target species and routes set by guests who keep all finds. Basic wild mushroom-based food in the woods can also be arranged.
WHAT HAPPENS ON A FORAY?
10-1: Embark on a three-hour walk where we collect a range of edible species before returning to a lovingly-restored 17th century Welsh longhouse.
Lunch: Enjoy a wild mushroom-based vegetarian lunch with drinks (vegan options possible).
2-4: A tasting and preserving session.
